The 1914 Star (“Mons Star”) was authorised November 1917 to be awarded to all those who served in France or Belgium 5th August – midnight 22nd-23rd November 1914. Approx 378,000 1914 Stars were issued to British personnel.
The 1914-15 Star was authorised 1919 and awarded to those who served between 5th August 1914 – 31st December 1915. Approx 2,366,000 were issued.
The British War medal 1914-20 authorised 1919 – 6,095,352 Silver medals were issued along with 251,000 Bronze medals.
This Bronze medal was issued by the board of trade and awarded to members of the Mercantile Marine who served on one or more voyages through a danger zone. Approx 250,000 medals were struck.
The Victory medal was authorised 1919 to commemorate the allied victory over the Central Powers. 6,334,522 medals were issued.
This bronze medal was authorised 1920 and awarded to all members of the Territorial Force including Nursing Sisters. 33,944 Medals were issued.
